The Village of Penn Yan is governed by a Mayor and four Trustees, all elected at-large by village residents to two-year terms. Village elections are held each March. The Board meets on the first and third Monday of each month at 7:00 PM at Village Hall, 1 Marshall Street, Penn Yan NY 14527.
Pass ordinances and local laws governing the village
Approve the village budget and set the property tax rate
Oversee all departments including DPW, Police, Fire, and Court
Review major development proposals with Planning Board recommendations
Public comment is welcome at all regular meetings
