The Yates County Legislature has several standing committees that meet regularly to review and discuss specific areas of county operations before presenting recommendations to the full Legislature.
Reviews county budget, financial reports, audit findings, and makes recommendations on fiscal matters, taxes, and appropriations.
Oversees intergovernmental relations, local laws, county charter revisions, and administrative policies.
Addresses social services, public health, mental health, aging services, veterans' services, and community assistance programs.
Oversees law enforcement, emergency services, fire coordination, emergency management, and justice initiatives.
Manages county infrastructure, highways, bridges, buildings, solid waste, and capital improvement projects.
Handles land use planning, zoning, economic initiatives, tourism, and community development programs.
